The Spartan cheerleaders can be found working tirelessly on the sidelines at our Spartan Athletic games. Helping our teams achieve that extra push to victory, all with a big smile. Whether it's a halftime cheer, a touchdown celebration or a timeout dance, the Spartan cheerleaders aim to give our athletic supporters and teams an edge in those pressure moments.
Along with their work on the sidelines the Spartan cheerleaders hold a high standard of excellence in the classroom. Every member is required to hold an exemplary GPA mark in order to participate at athletic events.
While showing their support for the Spartan athletes is a primary focus, an important feature of the Spartan cheer program is their work and service within our community. Whether it is rally on campus or a toy drive at the local fire station, our cheerleaders make it a priority for their support to be felt. Some programs include: Toys for Tots Drive, P.A.L cheer clinic, SJSU Voter Rally, etc.
It is our goal to work with our athletes, Spartan supporters, and our local community to provide a positive atmosphere and influence for the University and city we so proudly represent.
